Review - Chinese Sexual Astrology

In my 20 plus years of practicing Chinese Astrology I have read many books on the subject. I’ve just finished one, however, that is unlike all those others. It’s Shelly Wu’s Chinese Sexual Astrology:

Eastern Secrets to Mind-Blowing Sex. I guarantee you won’t find that stuff in any other book!
Shelly’s writing style is straightforward but always seems to grab my interest. She never throws out a generality and leaves me hanging. Rather, she delves deep into the subject and doesn’t leave much to the imagination. Seduction and romance, atmosphere and ambiance, setting the mood are just a few of the issues she addresses.

This book is both fun and informative. Nevertheless, her insights and conclusions are completely faithful to the ancient principles of Chinese Astrology and reflect and intimate knowledge of the subject. For example she uses Five Element Theory, The 12 Earthly Branches (animal signs), and The 10 Heavenly Stems (the five elements as yin or yang) as she applies her comments to different people and situations.

What is truly amazing is her familiarity with relationships and inclusion of so many aspects of love and sex in this 253 page work. Compatibility, intimacy, soul mates, and many more topics are discussed frankly and with authority. And, neither does she talk around sexual matters. It’s all there, be it the best way to get your partner in the mood or how to perform their favorite position.
She often writes with a tongue in cheek style. There’s the Titillating Tiger, the Randy  Rat and the

Receptive Rabbit. Even when she discusses the more technical aspects of Chinese Astrology, she presents the material such that it is easily understandable to the average reader.
And, just when you think she’s told you all about love and sex, look what you find in the appendix: Taoist sexual positions for enlightened lovers. Believe me; you won’t want to put this book down once you start it. And, you will find yourself coming back to it often for reference. I have.
