What Do the Elements Have to Do With It?
0 comment(s)

While the 12 Chinese Animals signs can influence our personalities and behavior, do you know how the Five Elements come into play? Just as the cycles of nature change and shape our world, the Five Elements reveal another layer of influence on our daily activities and our relationships.

Each element – Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal – has constructive (positive), or destructive  (negative) relationships with the other elements. These connections explain why two people of the same year sign can be completely different, why partners can clash, and why you fare better in certain years than in others.

Let’s take a look at the Constructive Element Relationships:
Water can generate Wood by helping it to grow; Wood feeds Fire; Fire creates Earth in the form of dust or ash; Earth creates the place for Metal to be formed; Metal can hold Water in the form of a container.

These relationships are said to be nurturing, supportive, and conducive to growth.

In contrast, here are the Destructive Element Relationships:
Water will put out Fire; Fire melts Metal; Metal can chop Wood; Wood can part the earth; and Earth can absorb Water.

So what does this all have to do with Chinese Astrology? Depending on the element of your sign, the year, or even the day, relationships can be affected by these forces interacting with each other.
